Requirements to Volunteer with AWL
Be at least 18 years old
Willing to commit to at least 3 trips/events with us per year
Have current First Aid and CPR certifications
Be able to pass a background check (cost: $20)
Other traits and skills we look for in volunteers:
We ask that AWL volunteers have sound judgment, be comfortable in the outdoors, and enjoy working with diverse groups. While having a background in the activities we offer is a big plus, expertise is not required. Although most of the support we need is on trips, there are occasional opportunities to volunteer your time and skills to ongoing projects that include, but are not limited to: photography/videography, event planning, fundraising, marketing, outreach, and more! If you have ideas, we want to hear them!
Steps to Become an AWL Volunteer
Step 1: Review our Volunteer Info Packet
Step 2: Attend a Volunteer Info Session (online and in-person options, limited spots available)
Step 3: Complete your paperwork (Submit your current First Aid and CPR certifications, complete an AWL Liability Waiver, and pass a Background Check)
Step 4: Join our online Team Management page (Zelos) to be able to access trip information
Step 5: Attend a Volunteer Orientation Trip - January 9th, 2027 (in person, limited spots available)
After completing all 5 steps, you’re officially an Adventures Without Limits volunteer and can sign up for trips!
